Europe’s Vega C rocket fails on second mission, 2 satellites misplaced

The second mission of Europe’s new Vega C rocket didn’t go in response to plan.

Vega C with medium carry rose from Cosmodrome of Europe in Kourou, French Guiana, on Tuesday (Dec. 20) at 8:47 p.m. EST (10:47 p.m. native time; 01:47 a.m. GMT on Dec. 21), with two satellites for the Airbus Pléiades Neo Earth constellation.
