Avian flu with mutations within the Bay Space is like COVID for birds
Native wildlife officers are getting ready for the worst as fowl flu, often known as fowl flu, spreads via the Bay Space. The virus is very contagious, incurable, and impacts quite a lot of species, from pigeons and poultry to owls and raptors. If it continues to unfold, tens of millions of birds may die.
The virus was first detected in Northern California in July. “To this point, 55 circumstances have been detected [highly pathogenic avian influenza] of untamed birds in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solana and Sonoma counties,” Ken Paglia, spokesman for the California Division of Fish and Wildlife, informed SFGATE.
